Video 1: Guns N' Roses - Sweet child o' Mine

Genre Characteristic
Rock n' Roll.
Band wearing leather and with longer hair.

What is the relationship between lyrics and visuals?
There are little links between the lyrics and visuals because you see images of people in the band with one woman at a time which links to the woman they are all singing about.

What is the relationship between music and visuals?
They link because you hear the drums and the guitar as you see the band play it.

Are there close ups of the artist and star image motifs?
Yes there are lots of close up's of the singer, Axl rose, also lots of close ups of him doing the jumping around on stage that he is famous for. Also you have the guitarist, Slash, see lots of close ups of him like Alx rather than the rest of the band. We see Slash in his famous hot hat and leather clothing doing his guitar solos.

Is there reference to the notion of looking?
There are some notion of looking when the different people in the band are with a woman. For example when Alx looks at the woman then kisses her on the cheek

Are there intertextual references?
No there are no intertextual references.

Fill out of risk assessment form

Filled out Reece checklist

Risk assessment

A risk assessment form is a table of all different risks that could be there at the location. Its there to reduce the risks to an minimum. For example if a fire could start its a risk and action needs to be taken. For this all to be in one place there are tables that you have to put all the risks in one place.

Location Recce Checklist

Things that you need to make should you have covered and gone over before filming takes place. Things on this list will have to be complied every time you go to a new location.

Things that you will need to take to the location will be:

A camera so you can take photos of the location and go back to show the directer and actors incase the location doesn't look the way they thought it would.

risk assessment forms to make sure you have made a note of all the things that could be harmful to crew while working and make sure you are covered if things go wrong.

A brief so you know what you are going to do and make sure you understand what will be happening on the day.

Notebook and pens to make notes on little details about the location to tell the directer before shooting takes place.

Maps and directions so every member of the crew and cast know where they are going and it saves time.

People you will need to talk to before shooting:

Confirm ownership so if you are filming in a place that someone owns, you got them to sign a form to give you the right for you to film there.

Discuss fees and contracts must be place before filming so that there are no problems when filming does take place and every one in a shot in the film has given there permission to be filmed.

Exchanged details are important because if you are planning to film at an location and something at the location is wrong the owner can then call you to tell you about the problem and that will give you enough time to find somewhere else if possible.

Copyright issues are a big thing that need to be put in place right away. Copyright issues could be linked to music, companies shown in the scene also any logos.

Children's details are important because by law you cant film anymore under 18 unless you have parental permission.

Transport/access:

Risk of trespass needs to be thought about because if you are going to your location and to get there you are going through private land you will need permission to walk through when filming starts.

Internal access could be a problem because if you cant get into the location for example doors locked are you still able to get into the location it self.

Sound:

Listen to hear what the sound is like at the location on a normal day.

If schools are close make a note of it because the sound will change when school is open, finishing and on break times.
