Music Video - Pre Production

Music Video: Harlem Shake - Beeur

Jobs Roles:

Emily: Producer

Charlie: Director
Alice: Camera
The three of us are editors.

Songs:

  • We each came up with a song choice and discussed with each other and the class those ideas.
  • Emily's song choice was Red by Daniel Merriweather and my idea for it was going to be about a man getting cheated on by his girlfriend.
  • My idea was We Speak no Americano and it was going to be two gangs that street dancing against each other.
  • Finally Alice's choice and the one we have chosen to do our music video on is the Harlem Shake. This is off a group of mates just hanging out and having fun.
Initial ideas:

We had several different ideas for our music video. Each of us choose a different song that we wanted to do, the three songs that we choose were Bastille - Rhythm Of the night, Daniel Merriweather - Red and Yoloanda - We speak no Americano.  We all came up with our own ideas for our own songs which we then discussed each of the videos ideas with each other and the class. The class then picked which song they thought would be the best to record. The end result ended up being Rhythm of the night.

Proposal: Brief Description

In our Music video we will be filming lots of people dancing when the Harlem Shake kicks in. This is a video summing up what its like to be out with your mates at a teen.

Treatment

Out of the 3 songs that we choose, we decided to do Herlem Shake by Beeur. The story that we are going to create is a group of mates just having fun and hanging out together.

We will have loads of different dancers. On the first day that we begin to film which will be 6th of December at 5:30pm. This will consist of the group of mates hanging out before the music kicks in which mean we are filming the beginning and ending of our music video. The group of mates will be laughing and joking around then someone turns on the radio and the herlem shake.

On The 9th of December we will film the rest of the video. This will consist of loads of different dancers and them just having fun with each other hanging out at Sweet frog.

After we filmed everything we need, we will then begin to edit or footage and if any parts are missing will have enough time to re-film it and still edit it before its due in.

Contingency

We plan to finish our music video by 9th December.  We will make sure we check all the footage after filming to make sure that it is all there. We will film more than we need, so if things go wrong we will have more footage to use incase. We will have a back up idea incase our original idea fails. We must make sure we have spare batteries.
