Ownership 

Vertical Ownership 
All stages of production are kept within the company 
All stages of production is kept in one company 

Pros
Communication 
The products could come out quicker 

Con
Less ideas - film seem alike because of the limited number of people
Final product might not come out the right way because they might not have the right or good enough people 

Horizontal Ownership
Production is split between several companies 
All stages of production is split between all different companies which split ownership

Pro
Having more people/different people look at it might create a good idea.
Different range of ideas and different from other films our there 


Con
Communication, too many companies to talk too and get their points across, always changing 


Some companies can be both. One big company that write and film and another company sends it off to the cinema's.

BBC and Channel 4 - public pay for it by the licence fee. 

Private 
Sky, MTV, ITV - Adverts, selling products, product placement.
