Proposal
A man attends a funeral in Italy.
He cocoons himself from reality while attending this funeral. He stays staring
at the lowered grave while all the other guests leave. His left alone in the
rain still making contact with the departed. After a priest appears from the
distance to talk to him.
While the priest gets the man to
talk he confesses his sins and askes for forgiveness.
While confessing there are
flashbacks of what he has done in his life and how he is linked to the departed
figure.
Treatment
A big group of people, women in black dresses with veil over their
faces. Men in classic style suits with black trilby hats on. They are all
standing round a grave that has just been lowered. One man is standing in
between the guests with a red handkerchief; His hat is lowered so no-one can
eye contact with him. He is looking at the others faces while they are looking
at their departed friend. The guests start to fade out the shot, which leaves
the man standing there by himself. Still making eye contact with he grave
holding a final red rose. Another figure appears from the distance carrying the
bible close to his heart. The man asks questions linked with the departed.
The man starts to move his head up to the level of the over figure. The
man doesn't break eye contact with the grave. The man takes a moment and
replies emotionless for forgiveness. While he is confessing his sins there are
flash backs of his business in action.
