Soundtrack

soundtrack

Stress sounds:
Increased heartbeat
Overlapping screaming
Group of people speaking loudly
Hand on a board
Heavy breathing
Pen hitting
Clock slowly pasting time
Old kettle boiling
Foot tapping
Function non diegetic ect
Record eg studio or source
Mix- changed in anyway
How audience speak to soundtrack - space 'acoustic' the environment 'normal sounds in the room' and speakers '

5.1 or 7.1 surround sound set up in cinema
Headphone or speakers right or left stereo set up

Tip
2x Make a point - answer it - evidence to prove it
On a cinema set up
On a train or on the go

Sound and picture:
Saving private Ryan opening
Sound-why was it recorded that way?

The wind/sea make a stronger effect on where he is,
Hand shaking, in a studio, feel his nerves
Bullets firing in the water - real life on war.
Every single sound of war can be in a different speaker makes war life seem more real and give a more powerful impact

Every time you change a scene one stops another starts if you fade music in it makes a better impact and a flow into each scene
Wave sound- ask which type, soft sunny day at beach
Or
War, rough waves, raining, lots

Sound looping - re-recording
Find a clip 30secs to a min and talk about it's sound where how and why?
What sounds tells you about the characters, area and if it was recorded differently would it have the same effect? Different impact?

External diegetic sound - everyone can hear like a radio

Internal diegetic sound - someone talking to themselves so only the audience and the character can hear it
